No more books!

I just went and turned my books in to Text Book Services.  It's great knowing I won't have to be carrying any books around for awhile.  After my last final at 4:10 p.m. I can happily be on my way home!  The thought of sleeping in my soft bed is already making me sleepy.

Crazy roommate

This morning when I woke up I saw my roommate asleep in the middle of the room on his matteris.  He thought his loft was going to fall apart so he put it in the middle of the room.  I wonder what he would have done if I got up and accidentally stepped on him.  It's always something new with him and I'm pretty pumped for break to get away!

Fast Food

I don't have any more studying to do for finals so I convinced my roommate to drive to McDonald's when he gets out of his final here in a little bit.  I haven't had McDonald's in quite a while so it sounds really good!  I think I'll get two cheese burgers and some fries.  I can hardly wait, I'm so hungry my mouth is watering!!

Finals Monday

Today I took two finals, one in Geology and one in Geography.  I feel like I did pretty well but you never really know until you see your grade.  I really feel good about my Geology final, I thought it was a very interesting class and I don't usually like science classes but I liked Geology a lot.  It seems like this semester just flew by so fast, I never remember high school going by this quickly!  I have two more finals tomorrow and then I am done for the semester so that's really exciting for me!  

Final Today

I have my first final in Geology Lab today at 3 to 4:50.  I feel like I know the material pretty well I just hope I don't get too nervous and forget it when I'm taking it.  I'm not the kind of person that loves science and stuff but I really liked this class.  The final isn't comprehensive though so that is a huge plus!  Maybe I'll surprise myself and ace it.

Snow

When I came to Maryville all I heard about was the snow they get here.  I'm from about an hour south so it isn't like I've never been around a lot of snow before.  Will it ever snow here?  I'm starting to wonder when the first real snow storm is going to happen.  So far there hasn't been any snow to complain about, I sure hope it stays that way until after Christmas break.  Walking to finals through a couple inches of snow defiantly would not be good.  I'm sure that since I wrote this we'll get one of the biggest snow storms ever recorded in Maryville, that would be my luck!

Pizza Boxes!

My roommate thinks pizza is the greatest food ever invented.  Our room has eight pizza boxes just from this week already and there's no way I'm picking up his trash.  I don't see how he can eat pizza for every meal and not be completely tired of it!  I like a little variety in my diet, not him though, he practically eats and sleeps pizza.  Too bad there is no way of seeing how much money he's spent on pizza so far, that would be scary to see.

Finals week coming fast

It's about finals time and I only have three classes to go to for the rest of this week.  Looks like I'll have a lot of time to study and get a good grade on my exams!  Most of my finals are Monday and Tuesday with one a Wednesday and one Thursday so I'll have a more stressful but quicker week before Christmas break.  Anyways, good luck to everybody and hope all goes well!

Baby Goats

My girlfriend's dad raises goats and over the weekend they had four.  One had triplets, two girls and a boy, while the other just had a little boy.  It's so funny to watch them run around a play since they have such long legs and are uncoordinated at such a young age.  They still have four other goats that are about to have their kids so they may end up with a whole bunch of baby goats!  Well I'll post about the others when they have theirs and we'll see how many babies they end up with.

Feeling Sick

Well I woke up this morning not feeling very well to my stomach, I've already been sick earlier this week so I really hope I'm not coming down with something.  Finals week is coming up pretty soon and it would be a nightmare to get sick then.  The cold certainly isn't helping me stay healthy!  It seems like every one of my classes is full of people coughing so I don't think I'm the only one.

Mizzou

Last night Mizzou and Georgetown played in the Sprint Center in Kansas City with Mizzou being ranked 9th and Georgetown ranked 16th.  From the very start of the game it was like Georgetown couldn't miss a shot, the first half they shot around 80%.  Mizzou trailed by 18 at one point in the game but finally got going and came back to lead by five with about 30 seconds left.  You would think that would mean they won the game, but they didn't.  Georgetown got a huge three right before the buzzer to force overtime and won by 9.  It's a very tough loss for MU but they should learn a lot from it and get better as the season goes on.

Back from break

I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving!  I ended up getting sick the last few days of break but other than that I had a fantastic Thanksgiving.  There isn't anything better than eating all that turkey and then taking a nice long nap.  It's getting close to Christmas break now so there's always something to look forward to!  There's going to be snow piling up before we know it so be prepared for some cold walks to class.

Break

Thanksgiving break starts tomorrow and I only have one class in the morning.  Six days of sitting around with the family watching movies and eating, it doesn't get much better than that!  I don't know if I'm more exciting for the stuffing or the turkey.  Oh well, they both sound delicious right now!  Hope everybody has a great thanksgiving!

Birthday

Today is my birthday, I really don't feel any older than I did yesterday.  There is a chance of snow tonight so it would be awesome if the first snow was on my birthday!  I went home yesterday since I didn't have anything in the afternoon and had dinner with my family.  Too bad it didn't fall on a weekend, it would have been nice to be home and see everybody on my actual birthday.

Deer Season

My girlfriend and I went deer hunting on Sunday since my dad wasn't feeling well.  We were seeing lots of deer when a doe came running out behind us and my girlfriend turned around and started telling me there was another one behind her.  Well, it was a nice eight point that I was going to shoot but the doe winded us and took of.  I was a little bummed out but about twenty minutes later I looked behind us and saw a real nice buck in the bean field and ended up getting him.  He was much better than the other buck and was a twelve point so I was happy as could be! 

Flu Bug

My roommate is sick and still asleep, this is very odd because usually he only sleeps for a few hours a night.  I really hope I don't get sick because of him, this weekend is deer season.  I would hate to miss the first weekend of deer season because I became sick!  Better go buy some germ x and start pooring it on.  I don't want to get sick and end up missing any classes because that would just add more stress for me.  Hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug and he'll be fine tomorrow.

Alumni Basketball

On Saturday I played in my high schools alumni basketball game.  It was a really good time and we even won our first two games before losing to get third place.  My body is really feeling it today, I can hardly bend down to put my shoes on!  My older brother was also in the tournament and kept telling me all week how he was going to beat up on me.  Too bad his team lost their first two games and were out of the tournament!  Maybe we'll play each other next year, now that would be intense.

Test Friday!

Tomorrow at 9 a.m. I will be in Introduction to Geography taking my second exam for that class.  I feel like I'm pretty prepared but no matter what, I'm always nervous before a test.  This test is all that is standing between me and my weekend so it'll be nice to stop worrying about it and focus on the weekend!  I did very well on my last test so I'm hoping I will be able to do well on this one too.  Anyways, I better get something to eat, shower, and get a good nights rest!

Hungry

It's only seven o'clock and I'm already starving!  I can't decide what I should eat though, I've been having pizza a lot lately so I don't really want pizza but tacos sounds delicious!  How could I make tacos when I don't have hamburger and taco shells?  I think maybe I'll just get some hot pockets from the Station, that would be pretty easy.

Night Drive

I just got back to Maryville after spending my three day weekend at home with my family.  I really should try leaving earlier from now on, there's deer all over the roads this time of year.  I even had to slow down for opposums and racoons multiple times.  I guess I could leave during the day so I wouldn't have to worry about hitting a deer or animal but it's nice to spend time around the house.  Oh well, I made it safe and sound so theres nothing to worry about.  Until next weekend ofcourse!

Walkout Day

Only one more day standing between me and a three day weekend!  I'm not sure about the history of walkout day but I know I'm already a fan.  It isn't just walkout day for me that makes this weekend so exciting though.  The Missouri Tigers play the Nebraska Corn Huskers in Lincoln to decide the winner of the Big 12 North Division.  This three day weekend is going to be amazing!

Changing Weather

I woke up this morning and got ready to go to class thinking it wouldn't be very cold outside.  I couldn't have been more wrong, the wind was blowing pretty hard and it was freezing walking across campus to class!  It's time to put the shorts away and bring out the jeans.  Before you know it there will be snow falling and it'll be time to have some hot chocolate.  I just hope this cold weather doesn't get me sick!

Missouri vs. Oklahoma

Saturday is going to be a very big day in Columbia, Missouri.  The Missouri Tigers are 6-0 and the Oklahoma Sooners, who are also 6-0, meet up for homecoming at Missouri.  The game is considered to be on of the best in the country and ESPN's College Gameday television broadcast will take place there.  The best part of this is that I will be there seven rows up from the field watching the game with my family and girl friend.  I can only imagine how awesome the atmosphere is going to be!  It's been a hard week to stay focused on school work with the game right around the corner.  Oh well, it'll be here before I know it.

Taking out the trash

Today the trash was looking a little full so I decided I should probably take it to the dumpster.  As I was walking to the elevator I realized the bag was leaking Dr. Pepper.  Why would such a thing happen?  My roomate likes drinking Dr. Pepper in cans.  However, he never finishes them and puts them in the trash can anyways.  When I got back to the room to put a trash bag back in the trash can I saw that the bag had leaked all over his clothes.  I told him what had happened and he just laughed about it.  I can only hope he starts drinking all his Dr. Pepper from now on!
